Biography
Jennifer’s work is a harmonious blend of en plein air sketches, on-site paintings, and photographic documentation. Her creative process is deeply rooted in the landscapes of the UK, which hold personal significance and historical depth. With an impressionistic style influenced by the chiaroscuro techniques of Renaissance art, Jennifer captures the ephemeral beauty of dramatic light as it transforms the natural world.
Her passion for oil painting began in her teenage years, culminating in the prestigious Juliet Gompert’s Memorial Scholarship at 18, which enabled her to study painting and sculpture at the Verrocchio Art Centre in Tuscany. She later earned a First-Class degree in Fine Art from the University of Wales and refined her skills at the Slade School of Fine Art summer programs.
Jennifer’s artistic journey took a transformative turn during the pandemic when she rediscovered her love for oil painting in an unexpected studio space. This period of reflection and renewal fueled her dedication to capturing the emotional resonance of the landscapes she explores.
